Artist Statement

“In the forsaken realms of urban neglect, where time weaves tales of abandonment, I discover my canvas. My graffiti serves as an expedition into these desolate spaces, a venture into the heart of overlooked narratives. Each session becomes a pilgrimage, an opportunity to resurrect forgotten stories and infuse vitality into neglected urban landscapes.

My purpose transcends mere wall markings; it is a deliberate engagement with the spirits of the past. Painting in abandoned locations is intentional, a reclaiming of spaces society deems irrelevant, transforming them into canvases for collective memories. Through vibrant colors and intricate patterns, I draw inspiration from the chaos of decay, creating a visual dialogue with the ghosts of history.

Beyond aesthetics, my work challenges perceptions of beauty and worth, inviting viewers to see potential in the overlooked. My graffiti is a form of urban archaeology, layers of paint becoming layers of history, telling stories of bygone eras and their inhabitants. It is a celebration of resilience and an exploration of renewal in the darkest corners.

Each paint session yields more than a visual creation; it retrieves artifacts from the environment, tangible links to the transformed spaces. Shards of glass or weathered wood become integral parts of the artwork, symbolizing the alchemy of art meeting abandonment. These relics are reminders of the transformative power of creativity and tangible connections to the places I’ve revived.

In essence, my graffiti narrates resilience, celebrating the beauty emerging from decay and showcasing the transformative power of reclaiming forgotten spaces. It provokes contemplation, sparks curiosity, and inspires others to recognize the potential for renewal in the most unlikely places. My art is a testament to the alchemical process where the discarded finds new life, breathing vitality into the seemingly lifeless corners of our urban landscapes.”
